I’m having a strange problem with Dorico on my MacBook Air M3. When I start a project at a certain point the mouse cursor does not match the Dorico keys. That is, to press any button in the Dorico software I have to position the mouse to the right of the Dorico button to carry out the operation.
I hope I explained myself well and made the problem clear.
However, unless this issue can be reproduced consistently, there is not much anyone can do about it. And to do that, there needs to be a list of steps to follow.
EDIT
In this case, I don’t think anyone would mind if you want to paste the list of steps in Italian. I’ll finish my espresso (yes, really!) and try my best to help you!
Thank you for your patience and kindness then
No, it doesn’t do it in every project and always. He does this sometimes (although often) and at a certain point in the work. I have noticed (but it must be a coincidence) that this problem starts to occur when I do some operations in the printing shop.
Well, if it’s ok with you, I won’t worry about trying to translate. If it’s not consistently happening and reproducible then there’s not much point, I’m afraid. Sorry for the hassle.
It doesn’t always happen but it still happens often. When this happens it’s a little annoying.
I don’t think it’s normal.
Also because on the iMac (M1), with the Sonoma operating system installed, this problem does not occur.
It only happens on the Macbook air M3 (among other things newer than Mac). Maybe it will be a bug in the Sequoia operating system, which I installed on the MacBook air.
I understand your explanation in Italian, but I don’t know what’s happening precisely. Can you post a screenshot when it happens?
Maybe the problem disappears when you change the window dimensions a tiny bit?
@PjotrB Yes, as soon as the problem arises I will take a screenshot. I didn’t notice if the problem occurs when I change the size of the window. I’ll look into it and let you know
I think I’ve encountered something similar: every once in a while, clicking somewhere in Dorico actually selects an item that’s about an inch below the cursor position (Windows 10).
It’s not project specific, it occurs when switching a lot between Dorico and other windows, especially when the Dorico window isn’t maximized (e.g. when I only have my laptop screen available and I have Dorico and a pdf side by side). I’ll try to record a gif when it happens again.
As for a quick fix: I find that maximizing the Dorico window resolves it.
@Zalde I think you hit the nail on the head , in fact I noticed these things too. so at this point I think it’s a small Dorico bug. Keep me updated if you like
I managed to take the screenshot when the problem (bug) arose. From the screenshot you can clearly see that the cursor arrow is further to the right compared to the Dorico button. I noticed that I get this bug when I put the Dorico window in full screen. Has a problem like this happened, or does it happen to you too?
