When I unmix a song the drum section sounds with chorus effect. How can I unmix it more naturally, please? sound example is attached here.
That’s just the state of the technology at this point. The algorithm looks for the sonic signatures of percussion instruments among all of the other instruments playing simultaneously and carves out that spectral area which may include portions of frequencies from other instruments.
Unmix has been very useful to me for separating out a vocal, but even then, the algorithm may not be able to distinguish between a vocal “ooh” and a guitar playing the same note.
Does SL 9 do a better job?
