Strange Cubase behavior: random stops Disc Cache Peaks without reason

Can anyone help or explain

I would be very grateful if someone could help with these two issues:

  1. Large disk cache peaks when playing back 8 audio tracks

  2. Large ASIO peaks when recording 1 VST instrument track (Omnisphere)

First issue:
When I play pure audio, Cubase stops randomly, and in some cases it starts and stops by itself. This happens at the same time as large disk cache peaks.

Second issue:
If I press record on a VST instrument track, the ASIO meter spikes heavily. Only Omnisphere is loaded. See video 2 : https://youtu.be/1AWO_oQgYv4

My system specifications:
Cubase 14.0.40
RME HDSPe AIO with updated firmware and software buffersize 1024 samples
Windows 11 (latest version)
Intel i9 9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
32 GB RAM
6 × Samsung 860 EVO 2.5" SSD – 1TB each, divided into 11 partitions
Power settings set to “Best Performance”

Can anyone help me solve these problems?

Unfortunately, I think the only real way to troubleshoot these kinds of mysterious performance issues is to record/create Windows trace files using the Windows Performance Recorder. But this requires knowledgeable people to analyze the files.

I remember there was a online forum back in the day that would analyze these Windows trace files for people and they could pin point issues such as why their audio interface was crackling and popping, or why the dsp latency performance was bad etc. It gave me the impression that it was much more advanced troubleshooting process than LatencyMon.

Problem solved. The Disc cache peaks was caused by my Eucon Euphonix MC Control. It was the Jog Wheel that moves without any touch. So a software/ driver error by Avid. If I change the wheel to zoom instead of Jog, the problem disappears.
