I’ve searched the forum, but can’t find anything that seems relevant. I have a player with both flute and piccolo. There is one instrument change causing the strange split staves in the score. See the attached photo. Can anyone advise what’s causing this, and how to get it in line?
The cause is previous manual adjustment of staff spacing: Dorico handles the instrument change as two bits of (different) staves glued together. If only one of them has been moved, the glue point won’t be correct.
Go into the Staff Spacing mode within Engrave mode, select the red square to the left of this staff and type Delete or Backspace.
Thankyou! I managed to quickly cheat a fix by adding a system break on the offending barline, which made me think it was something related to a previous system break.
