Strange recording latency - help!

Hi all,

Something very strange is happening when im recording midi, despite the response being ok when playing my midi keyboard whilst recording (the sound plays out my monitors instantly) when i stop the recording the midi notes are transcribed onto bars much further on in the track, does anyone know what might be causing this?

I attach a photo example where in the first few seconds i played a few notes but when recording stops you can see the notes are actually landing in bars 33. I’m definitely starting the recording with the cursor/line at the beginning of the track.

Does it happen with Steinberg instruments?

I did reach a puzzled point of thinking that being a time lord must be the only probable cause, however oddly after a reboot the timing issue seems to have resolved itself. Will be sure to post back should it occur again - thanks for the replies.
