My dream is to be able to use a stream deck to change settings in individual plugins on clip and/or output master effects. The one that would really change my life is a single key to toggle between ‘pre’ and ‘post’ in MeterPlugs Perception AB.
I know this is a long shot but figured I’d ask.
Also wondering if anyone has had luck with mapping the stream deck plus encoders to any useful functions within WL. Again I’m pretty sure this is impossible, but (for instance) changing the effect amount in the oxford inflator would be amazing.
I’ve often requested a way to assign key commands to WaveLab presets themselves, but it’s not possible. You can only use a key command to call up a certain window where you then have to click the icon and select a preset. Once the menu is open, the presets themselves usually have a shortcut if you look closely. The underlined character indicates a shortcut that can be used to select it.
I tried to get SoundFlow to work with WaveLab but the SoundFlow developer didn’t seem too interested in looking into support for WaveLab.
I can’t remember if it was SoundFlow or StreamDeck (or both) but I think I read that you can have them target certain images or visuals and open them so maybe with a little extra work, you can have SoundFlow and/or Stream Deck look for the preset menus by telling them what to look for.
It’s something I’ve been meaning to look into again but just do not have time right now.
It depends. This is possible for a number of presets but not all.
This is possible when you see this entry in the preset menu. This is a screenshot of the preset for the Transport bar (a possible concept for the transport, BTW). But you find this also eg. in the audio editor gain dialog, in the range editor dialog, etc.
