How do you keep the audio/midi data locked in position when you enlarge/stretch a part from the arrange page. I have been through the prefs 3 or 4 times but can find the setting!
also how do you set cubase so the when you open a part only the range of that part is opened and not a mass of blank space left and right!

1 Depends on your current cursor selected. If you click the tiny arrow at the bottom right of the arrow tool in the toolbar, you can select different cursors that each behave differently when enlarging parts.
As for 2, I think hitting shift-f (zoom to fill) will do that, not sure if you can get that to happen automatically when opening parts though.
