Stuck (hanging) notes with Transverse in Cubase Pro 12

I’m getting stuck notes with the Transverse VST in Cubase Pro 12 using an external controller. There are no issues when using the HALion Sonic SE 3 keyboard. However, with an external keyboard controller (in my case, the Panorama P4), the notes continue endlessly until I change to a different sound. This does not happen with other instruments like Flux, Trip, Verve within HALion Sonic. This also does not occur with Padshop. Any ideas?

For reference, I’m running Cubase Pro 12.0.20 (using Halion Sonic SE 3.5.10) on a Mac Studio (macOS 12.3.1), Steinberg UR28M interface and a Nektar Panorama P4 controller connected via USB. Issue also occurs when using other synths as a controller (Jupiter-X, Prophet Rev2, etc.). Reinstalling Transverse does not fix it.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Try to change your Audio Device’s Buffer Size, please?

Hello. Changing my audio device’s buffer size had no effect on the stuck note.

Hi,

In this case decreasing of the Buffer Size helps, have you tried even this, please?

Yes I increased and decreased the buffer size. Decreasing it helped but the note was still prematurely sustained. The troubling issue is that suck notes do not occur with other VSTs from Steinberg in HALion Sonic. It only happens while using Transverse.

For now, I’ve resorted to drawing the note events for Transverse. It works, but it’s more time consuming. I wish there was an obvious fix.
