Studio channel bus to Headphone jack on MR816?

I have a simple question I can’t seem to find an answer for. In the Steinberg Knowledge Base article “Headphone Mix for Musicians” https://www.steinberg.net/en/support/knowledgebase_new/show_details/kb_show/headphone-mix-for-musicians/kb_back/2025.html?tx_p77sbknowledgebase_pi1[keyword_search]=control%20room) it says, “you can route your Studio 1 bus directly to the phones input” on the front of the MR816 by going into the Hardware Setup window. But it doesn’t say HOW to make the headphone change, and simply clicking on the Hardware Setup gives no options other than the routing that’s already in use.

Can I indeed route a Control Room Studio bus to the MR816 headphone jack, and if so, can someone tell me exactly what I need to do to make that happen? I’m four hours into this brainteaser–any help would be much appreciated.

Well it does work, but that description is a little misleading.

you assign the studio output to an output pair. doesn’t matter which.
then in the hardware panel you assign the headphones to that output pair.

Not direct, but that’s how it goes.
