substituting (replacing) existing a dynamic marking and a playing technique with another one

Dear advanced users and developers,

To replace

  • an already existing dynamic marking with a different one, and
  • an already existing playing technique with a different one

I always do as follows:

  1. Selecting one which already exists.
  2. Retype the popover text.
  3. A new one appears above the old one.
  4. Selecting the old one.
  5. Removing the old one.

I think this process is a bit tedious. Is there a more elegant and straightforward way to do the same thing?

That’s about as efficient as it’s possible to be at the moment, yes. Obviously we’d like to improve this in future versions.
