I upgraded to Windows 11 from W10 and after that the CPU load in Cubase 14 got nervous. In the Audio Performance meter, Real time and Peak meters are very jumpy, easily going up to max with only one instrument loaded. I got back to W10 (clean install) but the problem was still there. But the overload doesn`t affect sound quality, no crackles, sounds great.
In Windows Task manager everything is ok apart from one thing, in the column Power consumption for Cubase, playing a few notes makes it go up to Very high, when not playing Very low.
I think it has to do with the graphic card, Nvidia Geforce GT1030 (2Gb RAM). After Googling around I understand it`s way to weak but it worked before upgrading to W11, no strange behaviour in the Audio Performance meter. The only problem in this computer is Cubase, everything else is rock solid.
Before buying a new card I wanted to check with you if I am on the right track.//KA
