Suddenly, playback is no longer working (solved)

Unfortunately, I need help.

Suddenly, playback is no longer working.

The ‘activate project’ button is off, and trying to reactivate it causes the software to freeze.
Even trying to enable/disable the MIDI controller leads to the software crashing.
The problem appeared suddenly and also occurs with a newly created project.

Restarting the system and following various procedures found on the forum have not helped.
The software freezes even if I try to save (also applying ‘Silence’ to the playback system).

Update: It seems the problem has been resolved. For some reason, the VST2 version of Noteperformer got corrupted, and reinstalling NP fixed everything.
This necessary coexistence between the VST2 and VST3 versions of NP is a bit weird, but oh well…

thanks for getting in touch.

No complaints about Steinberg at all!

Perhaps a couple of lines about it could be added as a sticky post, considering how widespread NP is and the not-so-intuitive solution.
Just a suggestion, of course.
