I have an issue with sharps. They take two keystroke to type and it is bothersome. Hear me out:
I know you can produce chords like D/F# with 1/3 given the key of D. But my jetfueled addled brain writes a lot of music with lots of chords and could need a hybrid to save a few strokes a day. Flats are cool, they are a single key, but the damn sharps have to use a modifier to work.
Solution!
The Nashville system is already implemented, it is a marriage of the two I wish was possible. In the key of D: d/3 would give me D/F#. Modifiers would be easy enough, d/b3 would give me D/F.
This saves me typing D shift-7 F shift-5. For every sharp this is an improvement of 25%, and given a score with a lot of sharps this saves me quite a bit of time.
I guess i could remap the sharp to another key but i like my keyboard as is and there are more than enough shortcuts and commands i need remember.
