Let’s say that I’ve set the recording enable automatically assigned to the active track. This might not be the best choice during an average studio session but makes a lot of sense in live recording or performing. It’s pretty handy and quick since just by using the arrow keys on the computer keyboard I can switch between tracks on the fly. Unfortunately this doesn’t happen with folder tracks since they have to be activated only with the mouse and even so when turning one on it does not exclude the track or the folder track previously active as it happens with regular tracks. This feature, IMHO, would turn Cubase into a powerful VST host even for live purposes and I’m sure it could be useful even during recording studio activities.
