Switching from dongle and upgrading

Advice wanted after recent tale of woe. Bag lost/stolen at airport. Included in it my Cubase dongle ( as well as laptop ) . I’m running 10.5 pro. My licence is registered with MyCubase but I hadn’t switched over to the new system. I see now I missed the May deadline to switch over but unsure where that leaves me.

My understanding is that I have to upgrade from 10.5 .I’m running high sierra on a mac pro 5.1.

I’d like to take this as a nudge to upgrade the computer. My question is can I upgrade to Cubase 12 not 14?

In My Steinberg I also don’t see any tokens which I was expecting to to convert over. Again any clarification helpful. Thanks !

Contact Steinberg directly and tell them what happened – I am sure you will be able to do the update since your elicenser was registered in your Steinberg account.

See this post from SB to understand why I would suggest this

The way it works nowadays is your buy option is the current version of Pro…..14 at the moment….but the license automatically also gives you access to the previous 13 and 12. Your choice if you decide to then only install & use v12

Thanks. Will do.

Ah that’s great to k now thanks. Assume same applies for my Halion 6 ?

You can update to Halion 7 if the elicenser that contained that license is registered to your MySteinberg but in this case there would be no way to still use 6 as this is elicenser only.
