Is it possible to set the key editor to display sharps as flats instead? (This tune is in Eb minor, keeping staring at a bunch of sharps is kinda annoying. I don’t need to use the chords track in my projects but tried to create one and added the chords as per this post i’m pasting (though didn’t solve the issue) .
Is option Event Display > Enharmonics from Chord Track activated in the preferences and does the chord track show the correct scale? Maybe you need to deactivate the automatic scale detection in the inspector and set the scale manually.
In Preferences > Event Display, I cannot find the option for “Enharmonics from Chord Track” (perhaps you’re referring to an earlier version ? I’m on Cubase 13).
I also tried using the Scale Assistant in the Key Editor, but the issue persists (it only shows sharps).
Additionally, under the Eb minor chord, it shows a B major (I attempted to edit this, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to fix it). Guess the Bmaj is the reason I get sharps instead of flats.
It’s a bit annoying that a chord track has to be created to achieve this. It would be much easier if there was simply an option in the Key Editor to toggle sharps into flats and vice versa.
But there’s still room for a Key Signature component within the Chord Track, so that enharmonic spelling gravitates to either the side of sharps or the side of flats, no?
I have to admit I am somewhat disappointed from Steinberg. I am certain they could have added another couple of buttons to press and switches to switch to make it even more complicated to display notes with the desired names.
The current solution is almost too easy. It took me only three weeks to understand it. Pfft, noobs.
Now, the Steinberg Donwload Assistant + Activation Manager + Library Manager + eLc app… that is what I am talking about. Sufficiently complicated to prevent unworthy customers from ever using Steinberg software.
Recently they noticed that too many people passed the test of handling these apps, so they decided to arbitrarily display “internet connection error” or “download problem” messages to ensure sales don’t get out of hand.
Had the exact same problem “no Internet connection”. I then downloaded the activation manager again and :
My Steinberg: I redeemed the voucher with the following description:
“Upgrade your Basic FX Suite license from eLicenser licensing to a Basic FX Suite license with Steinberg Licensing.”
Steinberg Activation Manager: I activated the Basic FX Suite and received a message confirming that the activation was successful. I was informed that the suite would now be listed in “My Products” .
Result: The Basic FX Suite is not listed under “My Product Downloads.” Additionally, I still receive a license error when trying to launch the REX reverbs without the dongle inserted. I’ve sent a message to Steinberg , still waiting for them to reply.
