How do you guys work in this editor ?
I feel like rolling the dice with the values until I get it right…
For example, how do you know how much you need to affect the vertical offset to position the symbol correctly ?

I must be misunderstanding something here.
But I would love to see a greyed out representation of the stem in the editor…

What’s the problem? November does straight flags ‘correctly’ by default.
(Edited because I thought it didn’t.)
I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear enough…
I don’t want to use Dorico’s native straight flags, their angle is not ok with my publisher’s house rules.
I used the November 2 straight flags, but I don’t see how they are native.
You have to edit the flags in the editor in order to use the November 2 flags…
Benwiggy, your flags don’t look at all like the ones I use from november it seems…
How about responding to my question about how to use the Editor, whatever the symbol is ?? (I did write : for example…)

From what I can see, the straight flags are set to place the tip of 2nd stroke (from the top for ‘above’; from the bottom for ‘below’) on the origin. (As you can see in my default example.)
