Symbol for drumsticks

I am desperately looking for a way to symbolize on the score that the drummer should use brushes on his snare drum. Do you know of any?

Percussion Symbols / Pictograms

Instrument and mallet pictograms can definitely be added. They’re glyphs in SMuFL fonts. I’ve created playing techniques with them to show mallets/sticks. If you want them as the staff name instead of text, I imagine that’s also possible, though I’ve never tried. So far I know, as a drummer myself, I only saw the text “Brushes” or “with brushes” on the parts I have read in my life.

How to get support for Dorico

Create a new Playing technique as in pic1. Name it and select type Glyph. Click the pencil to edit the glyph. Click the trash can to delete the text. Select range→Beaters pictograms, select the symbol you want, and Add Glyph. Click OK. Click the star icon in the lower left if you want to save it as default for use in other projects.
