Syncing a Korg Wavestate to Cubase 10

Hi all

I have a Korg Wavestate that I wish to use with Cubase. The audio ops are plugged to my audio interface, and when I create a new A.Ch in Cubase and enable the monitor, I can hear the Wavestate. But that’s only if the Wavestate is set to int clock. I want to set it to ext clock, so it can sync with Cubase’s tempo.

I have the op of my MOTU USB MIDI interface going to the in of the Wavestate, and I am thinking there is something I need to set up in Cubase to make this happen. I tried the MIDI Dev Mgr, but that didn’t do it.

I dont mind reading the manual, but I am not sure where to look.

The Wavestate manual says this:

Clock: External: The wavestate tempo will synchronize to incoming MIDI Clock messages from either 5-pin MIDI or USB. If MIDI clocks are not being received, tempo-related features will not function

So, it appears as tho MIDI clock is not being received by the Wavestate.

Any ideas on how to make this happen?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

In Cubase > Transport > Project Synchronisation Setup > Destinations, enable the MIDI port in the MIDI Click Destinations table. Also enable all options int he MIDI Click Preferences in the window.

Thank you!
