System breaks on dotted barlines

Hi all,

Is it possible to keep Dorico from doing system breaks on dotted barlines? I want to indicate tempo changes on certain beats and make them clear with a dotted barline through all parts, but it’s often splitting the bar over a system, especially in parts.

Is there a way to change this behavior in the settings, or is it a matter of manually going through each one?

A dotted barline is a barline, for the purpose of system breaks. If you want a different set of breaks, you need to do it manually.

You may already know this, but click the start of a system, ctrl-click on the last item you wish to be on that system, and in Engrave mode, select “Make Into System.” Subsequent systems will adjust automatically, so you likely won’t need to do this much.
