System Builder Recommendation for Cubase & MIDI?

I compose orchestral music using MIDI, still happily using Cubase 10 and Windows 7, air gapped and plenty fast for what I do. However the newest VST libraries require Windows 10-11… sigh. So upgrade I must, even though my computer has not crashed in years. I had ADK build this system almost 12 years ago, they were terrific but the company has closed. Does anyone have a good recommendation for company to build me a reliable fast moderately priced Windows 11 computer specifically fine-tuned for Cubase and MIDI? I don’t need the bleeding edge, but solid reliability.

I have built a few systems the last couple of years. AMD CPU 3900, 5900, 9900 with Asus 550, 570 and 650 motherboards and RME soundcards are working well for me and my friends. Stable with Windows 11 and Cubase. Now I have switched to MAC M4 and I am very happy with that. Less noise and stable experience. I am not very into the MAC OS but learning to live with it and I do not regret my switch.

Not sure where you are located. Scan in the UK has a good reputation. AAVIM in Australia, PC Audio labs in the US, and others.

Recent benchmarks show the Intel 285k hard to beat processor-wise.

With Windows 11 you’ll get the new MIDI stack delivered early next year as an update.

Thank you both. I am in the US. I’ll check out PC Audio Labs. Any other recommendations would be much appreciated too. I used to use Macs with Opcode Vision back in the day but I’ve used Windows since I started using Cubase 7 Pro, and I want to keep using some of my current VSTs, drives, etc.

Warmly,

Cal

Reusing drives is rarely beneficial, and not something most system builders will support.

Generally, you can add them as a +1 drive with backups of stuff.
