System Common Message - SONG Select

Hi folks!

I am using Cubase LE AI Elements 8 on macOS 10.11.6 with a Yamaha MOTIF XF8. I have been able to use Cubase to include System Exclusive Messages successfully into MIDI files that I am then loading into a iPad App called “Sweet MIDI Player”, which I am using as an external MIDI player for the MOTIF.

But for the life of me, I cannot figure out, or find out using the web how to include a System Common Message to send a SONG select message in a MIDI file for the MOTIF using Cubase.

Please help! Can I use Cubase to include a System Common Message send a SONG select message in a MIDI file for the MOTIF?

Hi,

I have the same question : I use Cubase Artist 9.5 with MOXF8. In List editor, I can write a Program Change, controller Change and Sysex but not system command.
My workaround is to use master mode. I send a Sysex mode changeto select Master mode and send a Master number select.
