I’m from Argentina. Sory about my English. I’m new using Cubasis with my cel samsung A04. I’d like to buy a tablet for a more comfortable working. Can sombody recommend me what technical aspects i have to consideŕ? I saw the Xiaomi redmi Poco Pad ,could it be fine? Now im working recording instruments and voices directly on the incorpored telephone mic. Could I do it with the tablet? Has it the same or better microphone quality? Thank you
Hello, I can tell you I have an old iPad Air 2 (more than 10 years old, maybe 12) and can work flawlessly with Cubasis. I don’t use it intensively, though, just for trying ideas. I don’t know other tablet or the one you found, so I can’t give technical advice here.
Regarding recording, maybe a tablet will have a better mic than a phone, but I doubt it will be good in any case. I already learned a lot of years ago that if I don’t have good source material, the many hours spent processing and mixing are no worth it if I end frustrated with the result. I would recommend a digital interface if you want to produce music. Unless you are wanting only to make sketches and be trying different ideas, without caring about the quality. Or for practicing. If your planed use is of this kind, maybe you could work simply this way, without interface.
