TACET AT THE END. The player play last time in bar 17. After that is TACET
How can I fix this?
In Setup Mode select the second flow in the lower zone (it becomes light blue), then uncheck Tubular Bells in the left zone.
You will get a global Tacet assignation for the second flow.
The player will also be removed in the score.
This didn’ work…
Of course because the bass drum does play in the second flow.
And as far as I know you cannot get a tacet al fine ignoring all time/key signature and tempo changes as well as other multi-bar rest breaking items.
not very professional when you need scores for publishing companies. I mean how Dorico is doing this. I converted now to Sibelius and it’s done
Perhaps we do not understand what you are trying to accomplish.
If you are trying to have your prologue use “tacet al fine,” the tempo alterations (rit.) prevent that (as they should IMO).
I can’t delete that parts as this is an orchestra score
The parts (players) are not deleted, they are removed from that particular flow as they are silent anyway.
Why? Are you saying the player needs this information even though they play nothing to the end? That seems like superfluous information to me, and no player will even pay attention to those markings once they know there is nothing for them to do.
To each his own.
This issue has come up before. I agree that it would be nice to have an option to print ‘tacet al fine’ when they player has no more notes until the end of the flow, ignoring all other notation.
Not to mention the fact that doing it the current way is a tremendous waste of space and/or paper.
