Hey! I’m currently working on a concerto, and I have a section with a DC al coda. I’d like to have a few instruments only play their parts the second time through. Is that possible, or do I just have to create a text box?
Staff text is the right thing for the indication. “Play 2nd × only” or the like.
For correct playback you can select the whole passage, go into Properties, turn on the switch for “Suppress on passes” and enter “1” in the field.
I just tried this and it works fine in playback within Dorico, but when I exported audio the tacets were ignored.
Dorico’s audio export follows exactly what you hear during playback. If you have a project that reproduces this problem, please attach it here so we can investigate.
