My Performer can hear me speaking, but I get no VU signal on the connect pro.
Not sure what you mean. Can read this several ways. Can be more specific, maybe provide pictures if it may help us understand better?
make sure to have input hardware ports selected at the top of the Performer channel(s) (mic, instr).
