Hi,
I have a Tascam US-20x20 interface that I bought new in 2017 but didn’t use it much. Recently I bought Cubase 14 pro and expected this to just work fine, but it did not. I wanted to use my PC sound interface that’s connected to the pc speakers and this failed badly. I used the Cubase internal ASIO driver that sort of worked as I wanted, but not really. I get output alright to my pc speakers but it’s only consistant with input on ch 1 and 2 on the Tascam US-20x20 interface.
The Cubase ASIO driver needs some work. I can probably assist the dev guys here.
Please refrain yourself telling me to do this in a different way or to buy another “sound card”. Please.
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Install the Tascam driver. Or use ASIO4ALL.

Late reply.
I use one of these.
You should be using the option that is us20x20 asio.
This unit, at a sample buffer of 128 samples, will easily handle all it’s ins and out simultaneously with no audible latency. I can also use it at 64 and even down to 32, but it makes your PC work hard and you’ll need a real good PC.
I’m on an R9 9950x with everything pci 5, and it can’t do all the channels at the lowest 4 samples buffer. But I wouldn’t expect it to tbh. Nobody needs 4 samples as a buffer.
Even on usb 2 as long as you stay at 24/48. You can do all ins and outs.
If you go 24/96 or 192, you’re gonna need to use usb 3.
