Templates missing, but not always

It sometimes happens that my templates are missing in the hub. I checked to corresponding folder in my preferences folder and they are still there. When I restart my Mac, the re-appear again. It looks like Nuendo “forgets” the path to the templates folder. What’s going on?

Could it be some sort of problem with access to the drive or folder? Maybe a disk timeout error of some sort? Spinner that’s spun down (probably not in 2025)?

Maybe just keep track of what you did right around the time you access the HUB and the templates aren’t showing up. Maybe you’ll detect a pattern after a while. I’ve never seen this, though I have seen it take maybe 1 second before the list appears…

Double check that you have the correct tab selected along the top of the hub? I’ve accidentally selected a different tab and it took me a sec to figure out why the list was empty…

I’m pretty sure the drive / folder is not the problem. I have a Mac Studio with SSD drive and never experience any trouble with that. Also all the template files are present in the folder. The template hub page simply shows no templates (except for “Empty”).

The strange thing is that it only happens occasionally. I appears that Nuendo temporarily “forgets” the path to the templates folder.

I just updated tot the latest version now (from 13.0.40 to 13.0.51). So far, the issue hasn’t appeared so perhaps this fixed it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’m sure that I’m in the right tab.

Hi @Misja_van_Waterschoo I am experiencing the same issue this morning. Out of the blue the templates are missing, also in the Mediabay. Clicking on ‘Show in Finder’ gives the correct templates folder, but it fails to show them in the Hub/Mediabay.
Restarting Nuendo doesn’t help, after restarting the Mac all templates are back again…

I will keep an eye out for logic on this

Running Nuendo 13.0.51 on Mac Pro 7.1 (12.7.6)
