I’m entering a Beethoven score which defines the tempo as dotted half = 116 in 3/4 time. How can I either redefine the tempo or change something to allow the piece to play at tempo? Setting the tempo to 360 (max) almost gets me there (116*3 = 348), but I’d like a little room to pop up the tempo a little more. Can this be done without changing all of the note durations in the piece? It’s frustrating to enter the notes as shown in the score, and then not be able to play it at the right tempo. Why is the limit 360?
Also, I have another piece at dotted half = 132 in 3/4 time. 3x132=396. Can’t get there with a max tempo of 360.
Unfortunately, there is no way to do this if you want to have both the score and the playback agree.
Squeezing the MIDI part to exactly half the length and then halving the tempo is the only workaround that comes to mind, but of course the score would be changed from what it was.
