I did not have this issue with Cubase 14 pro but now I do with Cubase 15 Pro. My Yamaha Genos can record song melodies having a style as a midi track or converted by CB 15 Pro to Audio. The tempo is selected for that song prior to recording it in Cubase 15 Pro. I then go forward and build the other tracks - mainly midi and a few Audio tracks I do include a chord track taken from the original keyboard Yamaha Genos midi track then created in Cubase. If I want to add a chorus that will sync with the The Genos midi Keyboard, I change tthe tempo track from 120. to 75 but all of my tracks in the project move in tandem throwing the play back totally unsynced. I have tried so many combinations to get everything to play correctly but no dice. Keep in mind that the transporter triggers the Genos keyboard buy triggering it at a 120bpm tempo which is way to fast. Where there any changes made to Cubase 15 Pro regarding this.
add toggle time base to the instrument tracks in ‘track control settings’
You have both musical and linear modes.
Maybe this fixes the situation for you.
Musical, should keep all midi regions in there correct beat/bar timing regardless of bpm.
I will give your suggestion a try we are getting very very cold weather in South Florida tonight and we had to shut down the studio to prepare for the weather change I will respond accordingly
So the first thing I have to do is change all of the tracks to linear -.this is what I saw in a few videos does this sound correct or change it in preferences and that should take care of all the tracks in the project?
The preference setting just determines when you create a new Track if that Track’s Timebase will be Linear or Musical. You can freely switch back and forth between the 2 settings after a Track is created. Set the Preference to whatever you want to use most of the time.
It is called Musical and Linear Time Base.
This is important as there is something called Musical Mode in Cubase and it is something different than the time base thingy.
There is no Linear Mode.
I was able to resolve the issue with another suggestion by another member. I had to click the box in one of the transport settings that was unchecked. (Auto Detect Frame Rate Changes See photos Your suggestion in preferences needed to be changed to “Musical” When I entered the 75bpm the entire project screen and its tracks aligned with a 75bpm No linear buttons were applied, I removed them for each instrument track in the inspector. I did save the project last night and reopened this morning to find that everything worked. Thank you everybody for your suggestions.
