In one of my projects the Tempo-editor is empty: tempo and tempo changings are not longer displayed. I think it must be bug?
Can you attach the project here so we can take a look?
A reminder about how to most effectively ask for help:
This is what I see…
Where is the problem (besides the eccentric tempo markings)?
And why do you need 33 flute part layouts?!
The problem is, that I don’t see what you see! Perhaps a stupid mistake by me?
Yes, you are right, I have to clean the project!
When I open the project, I also don’t see anything in the Tempo editor, but opening Library > Playback Options and clicking Reset to Factory restores the tempo editor display. It’s very late here in London and I’m going to go to bed, but I’ll have another look at the project tomorrow if I have time to see if I can determine what might be going on.
Certainly I would recommend trying to simplify the tempos you have in the project, since as you can see from what is displayed in the tempo editor, you have contradictory tempos that Dorico is finding it tricky to resolve. (There’s a good chance your human players will have similar difficulties!)
Thank you, Daniel! The contradictory tempos arose during the search for the cause or solution to the problem. And because I couldn’t see them, I couldn’t delete them before uploading!
To reset the Playback Options solved the problem in the uploaded project detail and also in the whole composition.
But contrary to what I claimed above, I did had some contradictory tempos.
I’m surprised that these were created because I was really careful when entering the tempos.
I looked to other projects that don’t have this problem. And there I have no contradictory tempos. Maybe that was actually the cause!
I’m certainly glad that I can continue working now! Thank you very much!
By the way: Maybe it would be good if Dorico gave a warning if contradictory tempos are entered by mistake.
The evidence is in the playback.
Similarly, if you create an illogical repeat structure, repeats playback is disabled until you fix it. In some cases even the bar numbers will disappear when the repeats don’t make sense. These are good clues.
