In the HALion Macro Page, I created a text field and a “String” parameter. I connected the text field to the String (see attached image). However, if I type something in the text field and save the program, the text is not saved.
It seems that the String “Value” is not updated when I type in the text field. It only works in the opposite direction—if I manually update the String “Value,” the text field in the Macro Page updates correctly. But this is completely useless for my case—I need the text field to update the String value, not the other way around!
I noticed the same issue in the “Init Basic Controls” VST preset I downloaded from the Steinberg forum. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
