@Stefano7 Based on your post in another thread, looks like a graphic driver issue to me - if you can do further tests with updated drivers, please report in the other thread - thanks !
Ok, thank you, I will report it.
Very nice if it is truly that powerful! ::
But a pity there is no traffic unmix and wind unmix in the update, very pity.
There are other users too than only musicians. Why you guys are so selfish.
@Cubasi For non-music users this update also features Voice DeClip, improved Voice DeNoiser, and improved Unmix Multiple Voices, and Unmix Crowd Noise also applies to non-music scenarios
The new Voice DeNoiser is a killer!
Unmix Multiple Voices, and Unmix Crowd Noise
I was very impressed by those two in the demo video — especially since it’s not just “De-Crowd”/“remove crowd” but UNMIX so we also receive a “crowd only”. They will be life saver for ADR with crowds/overlapping voices where only one of them needs ADR.
This should’ve been EXPLICITLY stated. The way you did this sale was misleading and calculated. I get the impression that you have read THIS post/topic and strategically decided not to EXPLICITLY say what you said HERE in order to avoid clarifying that there was an additional upgrade fee.
The new features to Spectralayers 11 is great, the ill-intentions are obvious!
So you’re lobbying for an American TV Drug Commercial type of notification…
Exactly…
- " And the truth shall set you free "
Underhanded. Why ? couldn’t we just upgrade then.
Ironically, I also sent a support form asking for clarification on Sunday June 02nd at about midday.
Reply from support came on Thursday June 20th - Very Convenient.
Guys, I don’t give a @#%$ about defending Steinberg, they can reply however they want. But this is seriously illogical thinking. It’s also entitled, whining, complaining, unrealistic, and totally not based in reality. It’s like some of you guys haven’t ever dealt with sales and promotions before on planet Earth. This is how life works, folks. Sales and special offers happen. Sometimes things line up and you get a great deal. Yay. Sometimes you miss out. That’s how it goes. Sometimes an offer is targeted to a specific group. Sometimes it’s not. Life goes on.
Of course Steinberg is timing these promotions. Of course Steinberg is planning out their calendar carefully. What good business is NOT doing that? They have their calendar and promotion schedule set for the whole year, folks! That’s business. And unless you want Steinberg to go OUT of business, or force everyone onto a subscription plan (god no!), then this is just business as usual. Promos are timed to keep them in business so they can keep working on these products. And if you think anyone working at Steinberg is driving around in a fancy Ferrari, think again. They are NOT making a ton of money. This is a terribly competitive market and they have to pay the bills like any other mid-sized business. Steinberg is not even a large business. They barely qualify as a mid-sized business!
And yet, those greedy, awful Steinberg people came up with a dastardly, underhanded, misleading scheme to charge you $67 to upgrade from v10 to v11. That’s how greedy they are! $67!
If you honestly think that $67 for the current deal from v10-v11 is a terrible, greedy, underhanded, evil, misleading kind of deal, I can’t imagine what planet you are from. It’s a whopping $67 folks! Hold the presses! Steinberg is ripping everyone off! It’s a scam! $67 is an underhanded deal! It’s terrible! Are you seriously whining about this price??? Really? For what is included in SL11? I mean… have you ever bought much stuff from iZotope or any other upper-tier developer? The upgrade price for my RX Advanced license alone, from 10 to 11 is a whopping $299, and that’s my “loyalty” offer for a customer that has been with iZotope almost 20 years, and I own almost every product they make. It’s insane. But that’s what it is, and I’m for sure not going to pay iZotope $299 for RX Advanced 11 upgrade. But it’s not underhanded or misleading of them! It’s just insane, and I can choose not to upgrade. But with Steinberg, for a product that has more improvements than RX11, you’re whining about $67?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I really don’t get what planet you’re from.
As for “explicitly” stating something, please, for the love of your own neurons, use deductive logic when you read a promotion. The old deal was designed for a certain group of people. It was 100% obvious to me, and I didn’t get the old deal because it wasn’t targeted to me. Wow, how hard is that logic. And who cares, I didn’t get the old deal. That’s life. It happens. I’m not going to whine about it. That’s how capitalism works. It’s not underhanded either. Or misleading. Good grief.
And I don’t care what kind of flack I get for this reply. Say whatever you want. It doesn’t matter. This kind of entitled whining in any forum, especially by people who are presumably adults living in this century, is the bane of existence in these platforms and it’s frankly a symptom of serious societal decline. When people can’t deal with any kind of deductive logic and resort to using entitled language, throwing around “misleading” and “calculated” and “underhanded” and “ill-intentions” over a totally reasonable current upgrade promotion, it just makes me sad for the future of humanity. 67 bucks man. 67 bucks.
yup +1
A little sanity, finally
Umm, this thread isn’t even about Cubase, much less Windows. Please don’t post off topic like this.
Sorry that was not for this topic effectively!
This response required a lot of thought and effort. What motivated you to do this?
I’ve just upgraded from 10 Pro to 11 Pro and just wanted to add that I think the upgrade price is very fair, particularly with the 15% early bird discount. I am waiting to install, though, until the first patch is available for full gpu support. But I absolutely wanted to take advantage of the discount, so…

One of the biggest things that has kept me a Steinberg customer is their fair, competitive and affordable upgrade paths.
I tried the tool for transferring from one layer to another for a TV show I’m working on and it’s absolutely fantastic!
I first did song unmix to get dialog clear from music, and then in one spot a person is yelling ‘with pitch’ and using the transfer tool moved it easily to the right layer.
All inside Nuendo.
Love it!
For me, “Unmix Crowd” has been the highlight in SL11. It has enabled me to rescue several otherwise unusable decades-old live recordings made with a single stereo mic and a MiniDisc recorder, and transform them into things of beauty!
That one feature alone was worth the upgrade price, and more.
