There are 2 ways to load a Piano. You can click on the piano icon on the Model screen or load a preset from the drop-down list. Neither of these work?
I just tried safe mode as per link thanks, same deal, no instrument sounds.
Have you tried installing The Grand 3 with administrator rights? Any security software having it on their blocklist?
Yes admin rights applied on reinstall, windows defender, that’s it. Install directories all default, read-write are defaults.
Hi,
I’m not a library expert. ![]()
Ensure, you have the latest MediaBay component installed. Start Steinberg Download Assistant, it will update MediaBay automatically.
What happens, if you try to double-click the *.vstsound file directly?
Could you click on the Steinberg logo of The Grand 3 and also the The Grand 3 logo? I think, some “About” screens should appear. Could you attach a screenshot.
I would guess it’s not a license issue, it’s rather library issue.
Can you also try to move the The Grand 3 Piano Library (by using the MOVE button in the Steinberg Library Manager)? Maybe a disc problem…? ![]()

@Pat_Dee
When you are in the VST gui have you tried clicking on the Player to select a model?
Ohh I have also moved the library to another directory, no change.
