The PC security program detects certain files in Spectral Layers11 as Trojan

Hi all,

I’m using Ahnlab V3 as a security program, but this program detects the following file as Trojan :
“c:\ProgramFiles\Steinberg\SpectraLayers11\Modules\vst3effectsvalidator.exe”
The hash value of this file is MD5 “f8ba49b5040d8df4ce5d35f3454fb8d”.

I tried reinstalling Spectra Layers, but it’s the same.

Has anyone else had a PC security program detect this file as a Trojan? If not, it seems to be a policy issue for the security program I use…

Thanks for reporting this. It might be due to this file not having the Steinberg signature, this will be changed in the next patch.
