The STEINBERG DOWNLOAD ASSISTANT took about 5 minutes to update itself and then about another 5 minutes to actually do the update. What is the problem??? I have a very fast internet connection and a very fast computer and this is the slowest I have ever seen the STEINBERG DOWNLOAD ASSISTANT run. Thanks in advance!!!

True, this happened to me as well, but works fine now.
Same … I actually thought it was the spin of death and then suddenly it moved forward.

I still prefer to download straight from the website:
Pretty much every download assistant app from any DAW manufacturer and plug-in company kind of sucks in my opinion. Often buggy and doesn’t really do anything you can’t do on your own.

The wheel has been spinning since morning. I hope Steinberg also give Task Manager for users to end process.
If it is still showing updating after 5 minutes, should I use Task Manager to end? After 7 minutes it ended with a failure message that disappeared before I could copy it. Something about see web site for download instructions.
I downloaded a file for windows that was supposed to be version 5.1.60 update. I extracted the files and opened a DORICO folder and ran the .msi file. It gave an error message that it couldn’t continue because the program was already installed. The version reported in Dorico is 5.1.51.2123, so not the same. Has anyone had success, and can offer some directions?
