Thoughts on the UR-C Interfaces?

Hi everyone,

I used to own a UR44 a few years ago and really enjoyed using it. It was a great interface that suited my needs at the time, but I ended up selling it as I hadn’t been doing much recording lately.

Now I’m looking to get back into some light recording and am considering a smaller, bus-powered interface that I can easily use with my MacBook. Naturally, I’ve been looking at the UR-C series as they seem like a solid option.

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with the UR-C interfaces, especially the bus-powered models. How do you like them in terms of sound quality, reliability, and overall performance? Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

It’s a very decent product line, except for their misleading “32-bit converter” marketing fluff. It’s a fine 24-bit interface though.

No hesitation to recommend the UR44C, especially since you know the non-C sibling already. It’s essentially the same device but with a USB-C connector.

Thanks!

I was under the impression that were pretty much the same as previous models, just with updated USB-C connectivity.
