While we wait for the various attempts at AI choral/vocal music to reach maturity, I’m still stuck with using EWQL libraries for the time being, especially for Russian text as in the example here. A few years ago I decided to set the Apollinaire “Le Suicidé” and now felt like adding another two of the poems by the same author in the Russian translation used by Shostakovich in his 14th symphony. The Tri Lilii actually starts with the same note sequence as the Russian master and some may notice other similarities although in general the musical language and setting is very different.
The instruments used are largely VSL, except for the Spitfire chamber strings. As usual, it’s a straight audio export from Dorico
