Three bars of Condensing

I’ve condensed the two clarinet parts in this orchestral work and all is fine until a page change when the condensing produced the example which lasts for three bars before returning to expected results. I’ve included the ‘before’ and ‘after’ examples.

I’ve tried to rectify this little problem but without success. I must be missing something!

Any help, please?

This will happen if you have a manual condensing change forcing both parts into a single voice against their will. Try putting a condensing change at the start of this passage, Manual Condensing: Reset.

Thanks for your suggestion, hrnbouma. The reset returns the page with the three bars to separate staves. So it seems that I can have the rather scrambled 2nd Clar. with two parts to a stave or separate staves with clear notationfor this single page. I should have said that everything returns to normal on the next page. It seems to me that something strange is happening on this single page to disturb the condensing process. Any ideas, please?

This is perhaps because you have limited the number of crossings between parts?

Pitch crossing seems to be the controlling factor.
