Context: a set of bars which is played repeatedly a number of times , i.e. these bars are enclosed within |: barlines
Is it possible to
tie the note in bar 1 to the first note of bar 2 (Tie across |: )
AND
tie the last note of bar 3 to first note of bar 2 (Tie back across )
AND
tie the last note of bar 3 to first note of bar 4 (Tie forward across
From my experiments
and 3) are handled OK with using the regular tie, but I didnโt find a way to set case 2)
You need to use the LV tie property from the bottom panel. Then in Engrave mode, you can select it and adjust it so it points backwards.

I tried using the LV tie property without any graphical adjustment in order to at least have a visible notation for that last note of bar 3 to be tied
But in play mode, that doesnโt sound well, i.e. a short silence is heard for note in bar 3 before the tied-to note is played
Also I donโt understand what you mean by adjusting in Engrave mode โฆ backward.
Tied notein bar 3 needs be tied both backward and forward !!

In Engrave you need to move the LV tie in measure 2 backward.
Keep the regular tie in measure 3 to the first note of measure 4.
You should not expect this LV work-around notation to change playback to the first note of measure 2.
