Hello! In this piano piece example, I would like to tie the circled notes, unsuccessfully as the first is a result of a non-existing fourth staff and the second is cross-staff. How can I do these? Thanks so much!
See here – you need to select both the start and end notes, not just the start note, when tie-ing across staves:
