Ties between voices

I have 2 voices singing homophonically in one measure, and the last two-note chord is tied into the next measure, where they are singing more polyphonically.

So I want the notes to share a stems in the first measure, but be in different voices in the second measure. Including the two “halves” of that tied note that spans the measure.

Is there a way to tie a note from one voice to the same note (on the next beat of course) in another voice?

Select the 2 notes you want to tie (via control or command click) then hit the shortcut for the tie (which is t )
This should do it…
