Ties that have changed existing notes

In Dorico pro 5, I entered an eighth note then a quarter note and two sixteenths.
Dorico changed the quarter note to two eighth notes tied together. How do I put it back?

I also entered a dotted half note and tied it to an eighth note and then entered another separate eighth note and Dorico changed the dotted half note to a half note and quarter tied together. How do I fix it? I hope someone can assist me.

Note that now, since Dorico 5.1.7, the notations options does work.
Another way is to re-input your wrong duration (tied) with the « Force duration » button pushed.
