Time displays?

Is there a reason WL continues to use a ‘long-hand’ way of displaying time? So, “1 h 24 mn 3 s 368 ms” instead of “01:24:03.368”? This seems rather arcane, and I’m not able to see how it is necessary or helpful enough. It’s harder to read quickly, causes some minor visual distraction when running, and uses significant extra screen real-estate in the Markers window.

The option is in there, on the Clock tab of the Time Format Dialog, that you can get to by right-clicking on the time ruler in an audiofile or montage. The setting is called “Compact”.

Ah, not so easy to find (at least for me)…thanks!
