Time signature 5/4 not correct?

Why is the bar number in parenthesis? I read that the bar is interpreted as a pick-up bar? Not sure why?

Is this the reason 5/4 time signature i represented as 3/4?

Yes.
Engage the global adjustment of current bar insert mode (the bottom insert option).
Select the 5/4 time signature and re-enter it (shift-M 5/4). (switch off insert).

Bar 10 is not complete, so it’s number is in parantheses .

hi
I cannot finish the measure since it is incorrect signature. But even though i can insert notes to finish, the parens remain.

Hi @deangelisron , here the workflow suggested by @Janus visualized :

You entered probably the 5/4 after entering the 2/4 (the one in the next bar) and without using that insert mode scope ( global adjustment of current bar). Dorico considers the 2/4 as placeholder and wont add beats in the previous bar, if you change a time signature before that placeholder, without using insert mode. (I hope I explained that correctly)

Here the Manual:

Actually I see that the first insert mode scope would be enough in my example. Here a video with an explanation attempt, in case it could be helpful to someone (and don’t forget to deactivate insert mode at the end of the process, as I did  ):

@Janus Another tip i never knew about thank you

@Christian_R Thank you i wad able to get through it. Thankx for taking time out to reply :+1:
