I know I’ve been there before, and I have done what I wanted, however … I can’t remember (nor find out) how I did it-
I want to use Arial for the time signature - can anyone explain excatly what procedure (and where) to follow? -
Also an old problem re large time signatures - apparently (still?) only possible in groups. But if a group consists of more staves than others, the TS becomes corrspondingly larger. Can it be individually reduced? Of course it would really be nice if Dorico could some day establish a procedure (as in Finale, sorry …) where you can put it anywhere you like (and at any size).
Library->Layout Options-> Time Signatures set to Plain font
Then Library->Font Styles change Time Signature Plain Font to Arial
Finally for question 2
Library->Engraving Options
Jesper
aha! so there it was! thanks
One more thing, after all … I have established the large time signatures where and the way I want them, using Arial. In the parts, however, the time signatures are stll in the original font. I have specified Arial in Font Syles / TS Plain Font, but that doesn’t seem to affect the parts. No matter where I’ve looked, I haven’t been able to find the right place to change the font for the parts. Thanks for any further help.
You need to change the settings for Time Signature in the part Layout Options.
(You can select all the parts together and then set the options as you want.)
I don’t see any reference to fonts in the parts layout options. Where would that be?
As in the first image in this thread.
The Layout Options dialog shows the available layouts on the right-hand side.
Right, just found it. Thanks again.
