Time signature question

I have a song under development. Fairly standard Prog House track in 4/4 time signature.
I also have some vocal lines to a 3/4 time signature song that I want to build into the 4/4 track.

What is the best way of doing this please in Cubase 7.5? New ground for me.
I’m thinking:
1: Lock the vocal sample tracks but I don’t know where that thought came from
2: It’s a mathematical calculation thing based on what 127 bpm in 4/4 would equate to in 3/4.

I appreciate all the potential problems of sample stretching etc, but I was wondering if any experts have done this.
