When working with trying out alternating time signatures in Dorico I’ve noticed that it’s quite easy to end up with bars that have the wrong amount of notes compared to the time signature.
I think it would be great if Dorico could have some sort of “warning” feature, that let’s you see when bars don’t add up.
I’m admittedly not saying this with surety, but won’t every bar that does not neatly match the time signature get a signpost?
It is true that those bars will show a red time signature signpost, yes, provided you have View > Signposts > Time Signatures switched on.
However, I do agree that it would be nice to have a little read-out at the right-hand end of the bar (similar to what our old friends at Neuratron did for PhotoScore) to show when a bar has either too few or too many beats.
