Time stretch doesn't work in certain situations

Hi!

  1. Time stretch any audio with object selection/sizing applies time stretch
  2. F7 (Direct Offline processing) on it
  3. Close dialog
  4. Time stretch second time in the same manner - doesn’t work for me

additionally:
hmm… not always reproduced
Sometimes it doesn’t work just after dragging sample into the project window.
This project reproduce this issue:

just try to stretch any of 2 audio fragments

tested in:

To make it easy for people to answer you,

Can you tell us what the commands are, rather than keystrokes?
You can drag and drop your zip file to upload in the new forum- saves a step for others.

Another reason why I’m enjoying using the new forum more and more

Hi!

I am sorry for the inconvenience but:
“Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is too big (maximum size is 4096KB).”

F7 - is the default hotkey (I guess) for Direct offline processing dialog
But that doesn’t matter if you open the project
It 100% reproducible at least for me

kind regards, Alexander

Hm… 4mB upload limit. That can’t be right – somethings up. I’ll check into it- there’s actually a possibly related upload issue that I just heard about.

So there’s enough for someone to try the repro, thanks. I never post keystrokes, most advanced users have changed a lot of them- especially those who’ve been using the sequencer since – well since we called it a “sequencer”

Anyone could check this stretch issue?

regards, Alexander

Hi, this is an old topic, but I do have the same issue from time to time (in Nuendo 11 though).

It feels like it is not a bug, but somehow intended, like the event is somehow locked after applying direct offline processing, at least for time-stretch. But I also tried to reproduce it and this time I was able to apply time stretching.

When talking of “time-scretching” I mean the third option of the first tool when toggling through it by pressing “1” (not on num key).

Has anybody an idea what I’m missing?

A solution is to make a new file of the respective event:

Audio > Bounce Selection

With the new file it works, I just don’t know why.
