Time-stretching MIDI events?

Is it possible to time-stretch MIDI events in Cubasis? I see time-stretch as an option when I select an audio event but not when I select a MIDI event. I feel like I’m missing something obvious and I’m not finding other user comments on the topic. I’m a Cubase user so I expected it to automatically be an option for midi events too. Thanks for the help.

Hi blackelmo,

Thanks for your message.

Cubasis supports real-time time-stretching and pitch-shifting for audio files using zplane Elastique.
As of yet, MIDI time-stretching is not supported.

Best,
Lars

How about now? Is it possible to time-stretch MIDI events in Cubasis 3?

Hi LeftyChris,

Thank you for your message.
Time-stretch is limited to audio files both in Cubasis 2 and Cubasis 3.

Stay well
& best wishes,
Lars

Thank you for letting me know. Hopefully it will be added to a later version. Cubase is not my main computer DAW but I assume it has MIDI time-stretch since it is known for its excellent MIDI editing features.

Good Question! Dont understand why this is not supported yet.
In conjunction with the “Rückwirkende Aufnahme” would be a very nice Feature. Or a lot of other Situations.
